Lizette Wong | Lizette Wong is a pianist, composer, and songwriter born and raised in Temple, Texas. She was first exposed to jazz by enrolling in the middle school jazz band directed by Marcos Duran. She studied jazz throughout high school, performing with the Temple Highlighters and taking private lessons. Lizette has studied piano under Benjamin Irom, Dave Wild, and Jeff Hellmer, and is currently taking lessons from Sean Giddings. Lizette is now a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, where she is double majoring in electrical and computer engineering and jazz piano. She is grateful for the teachers, friends, and family who have supported and encouraged her throughout her musical journey.

Eli Miller | Eli Miller is a jazz bassist based out of Austin and Fort Worth, Texas. A third year student at the University of Texas at Austin’s Butler School of Music, Eli has performed with the UT Jazz Ensemble, the UT Wind Symphony, numerous combo groups, as well as the Alternative Improvisation Music Ensemble under direction of Professor John Fremgen. Eli has had the privilege of sharing the stage with jazz greats such as Carl Allen and Terrence Blanchard. In addition to his duties at UT, Eli has had the pleasure of performing with local Austin musicians Shalane Miller, Pete Figliozzi and the Downtown Funk Brass Band, which includes a notable performance at the Keep Austin Weird ‘Twist N’ Snap’ Music Festival. Outside of performing, Eli has served the Dallas Symphony Orchestra as an Arts Management Intern, where he was involved in numerous community initiatives such as the Concert in the Parks series and the Kim Noltemy’s Young Musicians Program. Looking ahead, Eli Miller will be serving as an Operations Assistant for the 2024 Aspen Music Festival.

Sam Dimov | A native to the Philadelphia region, Sam Dimov started playing trombone at age 9. He won a position with the 287th Army Band at 16 and served with the Delaware National Guard for 10 years. During this time, Sam earned his Bachelor’s in Jazz Performance from Temple University, played with various jazz, funk, and bluegrass bands in Philadelphia, and taught music lessons in both private and school studios. Sam recently moved to Austin, TX, where he quickly became an in-demand trombonist while continuing to work on his own jazz projects. He recently self-released his second single under his own name, and his debut album, “All Day Affair,” is set to release in May 2024.
Sam is a second-year Master’s student and Teaching Assistant in UT Austin’s jazz program. During his time here, he witnessed changes brought about by community, discipline, and collective growth, and has devoted himself to supporting those values through his music. He is a B.A.C.
