Aidan is a freelance Jazz Bassist and Cellist, originally from Houston, Texas, in his second year at the University of Texas pursuing a degree in Jazz Double Bass performance. As a member of the UT Jazz Orchestra, he arranged Charles Mingus's work 'Fables of Faubus' for the Prayer, Peace, and Protest concert this past Spring. He has had the privilege of sharing a bandstand with Diego Rivera, Pete Rodriguez, Sam Dimov, David Mesquitic, Damian Garcia, Carl Allen, Gerry Gibbs, Andy Langham, Andre Hayward, Terence Blanchard, and Rodney Whitaker. His recent credits include the debut of the Aidan Berg Trio at Monks Jazz with "Ray's Way: The Music of the Ray Brown Trio", performing with the Diego Rivera Quartet at the Palo Alto Jazz Festival, and for Diego Rivera's CD release of 'With Just a Word' at Parker Jazz Club. Aidan's session credits include Sam Dimov's upcoming debut album.
Please Note: This is a live-taping, so we'll be enforcing a whisper-policy! Cold bottles of still and sparkling water will be available for purchase, but this event is BYOB.
