“Love & Peace” was recorded in June of 2021 after a 2-month battle with a COVID infection. The time away from my instrument and music making allowed me the time to seriously reflect on all the reasons I write, share, and perform music. My reflections produced a very simple and profound reason: I love music for the peace it brings. Like so many others, I emerged from the pandemic with a deeper sense of appreciation for the things I love and the peace they bring me. This album is the musical narrative to my thoughts during a period that challenged my existence in multiple ways. Stepping into the studio to make this record with Art Hirahara on Piano, Boris Kozlov on Bass and Rudy Royston on Drums & Cymbals was an achievement both personally and professionally.”
