Spencer Foster is a musician from Dallas, TX who recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Spanish/Portuguese. He has been playing piano since the age of 5 and fell in love with jazz in high school when he won a chair in a TMEA all-state jazz ensemble and when his high school band was invited to play in Lincoln Center, NYC as part of the Essentially Ellington competition and festival. He was very excited to be able to attend UT Austin where the professors in the jazz program generously allowed him to continue his music studies alongside his liberal arts degree.

He has studied with Jeff Hellmer, Sergio Pamies, Stefan Karlsson, and Sean Giddings among others. Apart from piano, Spencer also enjoys singing, playing guitar, drums and, more recently, button accordion in the UT conjunto ensemble.

Please Note: This is a live-taping, so we'll be enforcing a whisper-policy! Cold bottles of still and sparkling water will be available for purchase, but this event is BYOB. Ice will be available if needed, wine keys and 9oz cups provided!
