Composer and flutist Bryan Kennard keeps an active schedule as a writer and performer. His works include compositions for jazz ensembles and small groups, chamber ensembles, and full orchestra. Bryan has performed and shared his music at such events as the Montreux and North Sea Jazz Festivals, the Jazz Educators Network Conference, the National Flute Association Convention, the International Double Reed Society Convention, and the Texas Music Educators Association Convention.
Bryan recently received his DMA in Jazz Composition from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and earned his MM in Jazz Composition from the University of Texas at Austin, a MM in Flute Performance from Youngstown State University, and BM from Mercyhurst University. He has received multiple Downbeat Student Music Awards for performance, composition, arranging, and engineering.

Marco Antonio Santos is a guitarist, arranger, and composer from Minas Gerais, Brazil. He has performed with many artists in a variety of styles in Brazil and the USA. He is working toward a doctorate in Jazz Composition at the University of Texas, where he also earned his Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance.
Santos has performed and/or written for Brazilian artists Nene, Di Melo, Hilda Maria, and the Katchie Cartwright Trio. In Austin, he’s worked with the UT Jazz Orchestra, Live Jukebox Trio, Christian Wiggs, and the Matt Maldonado Experience. Arranging credits include Feita de Rendas by Hilda Maria, Realinhando by Selia Nask, and an album by Tina Latora.
