Featuring a 5'7" 1946 Knabe grand piano, handmade furniture, craft cocktails, and a strict whisper-policy, Monks began as a jazz listening room in an East Austin warehouse in September of 2016.

Continuing as a pop-up event series, unconventional performance spaces are paired with world-class musicians to create unique and exceptional experiences.

There are plenty of venues to have a conversation across a table, but Monks is not that place! Out of respect to our audiences and the musicians, we enforce a strict whisper-policy during performances.
