For our first show of February, we welcome guitarist Wilson Marks and his trio to Revival Coffee for our intimate, listening-room jazz series. Wilson is a very creative songwriter, as a lyricist, the listener can take a multitude of meanings from his words, and his guitar musings draw from the well of many styles, bringing a deep sense of joyous spontaneity and playfulness to the combo featuring bass slayer Daniel Lit Du Durham and polymath percussionist Aaron Parks! Don't miss these two sets from this witty, boisterous, and inventive group!

Monks began as a pop-up jazz listening room in September 2016 at Topology. Featuring a 5'7" 1946 Knabe Grand Piano, house instruments, custom-made furniture, top-shelf bar menu, and strict whisper-policy, the concert series was reminiscent of the art shows and DIY spaces of old Austin and NYC.

Continuing as a pop-up event series, we're pairing unconventional performance spaces with world-class musicians to create unique and exceptional listening-room experiences.

There are plenty of venues to have a conversation across a table, but Monks is not that place! Out of respect to our audience and the performers, we enforce a strict whisper-policy during performances.
